Creating A Premium Play Café

We were approached by the founders of Petit Social Club who wanted to create a premium play café that brought the joy of playing outdoors, in. The play café was to have a unique and luxury aesthetic offering a relaxing and enjoyable experience for both parents and their children.

The Challenge

As is often the case in high street play café venues, the premises was a compact and unconventional shape in an old building. This design needed to achieve the following:

Have a unique aesthetic
Separate younger and older children but maintain visibility
Maximise seating around play equipment
Maximise play value in small footprint

What we did

An initial online consultation to define priorities and constraints
An in-depth site survey
A fully bespoke design tailored to the space
Careful consideration of zoning to separate younger and older children
Development of technical drawings to bring the concept to life

Every element was designed to maximise play value while maintaining clear sightlines and a safe environment.
