A Bespoke Role Play Village Designed to Inspire Wonder
Little Wonders is an elegant play café in the heart of Monaco, thoughtfully conceived as a refined, welcoming environment where children can explore, imagine, and connect.
Tigerplay was commissioned to create a beautiful and immersive play space centred around a carefully curated role play village. The brief was clear: design an environment that evokes a sense of wonder while maintaining the aesthetic sophistication expected within the Principality.
A Crafted Play Environment
At the heart of the space sits a bespoke main play frame, expertly clad in birch ply to create a warm, contemporary finish. Inside, traditional soft play elements are seamlessly integrated, all thoughtfully aligned with the Little Wonders colour palette to ensure visual harmony throughout the café.
The result is a refined and cohesive play structure that feels architectural rather than purely functional.
Discovery Through Design
Nestled within the central structure lies a hidden sensory den, a secret retreat designed to delight young explorers. This intimate space offers a moment of calm within the excitement of play, supporting quieter experiences or becoming the perfect hideaway for a spontaneous game of hide and seek.
A dedicated baby area ensures that even the youngest visitors have a safe, stimulating environment tailored to their developmental needs. Every zone within Little Wonders has been purposefully planned to support different stages of play and growth.
The Bespoke Role Play Village
A key feature in this project is the beautifully crafted role play village featuring a fire station, garage, veterinary clinic and a mini market.
Children naturally gravitate towards recreating familiar, everyday scenarios. Settings such as kitchens, supermarkets, and cafés consistently inspire imaginative engagement because they reflect environments children recognise and understand. By designing these spaces with careful attention to proportion, detail, and authenticity, we enable children to step confidently into character.
A Royal Opening
Little Wonders officially opened at the end of January 2026, marked by a prestigious inauguration by the Princely Family of Monaco — a moment of pride and celebration for all involved.
Marie Ducruet & Élise Rouillard, founders of Little Wonders, shared:
