Designing a Premium Role Play Environment
We were commissioned by Little Liverpool’s founder, Sarah Sweeney, to create an imaginative play space that seamlessly integrates physical play, while maintaining a high-end aesthetic. A key priority was ensuring the environment felt warm and welcoming for parents, without compromising on creativity and fun for children.
A Fully Immersive Role Play Village
This thoughtfully designed role play village truly offers something for everyone. Children can explore a construction area, veterinary surgery, shop, hair salon, and even a miniature café. Above the role play village is a climb and slide route with soft play obstacles, maximising the space available and enhancing the play value.
In addition, a dedicated baby and toddler soft play area features sensory lighting and soft play blocks. A low foam boundary wall safely separates younger children from older ones, which is especially important when toy vehicles are in use.
Thoughtful Details That Spark Imagination
Custom-designed shop signage enhances the realism of the village, helping to ignite young imaginations and encourage creative role play. A soft pastel colour palette was carefully selected to tie the entire space together, resulting in a cohesive, stylish, and contemporary finish.
Delivered on Time, With Outstanding Results
Despite a tight project timeframe, we successfully delivered the space on schedule. The end result exceeded expectations and Sarah was delighted with the finished environment—both in terms of design and functionality.
