Inclusive Indoor Play
We were delighted to support the award-winning Le Monde d’Ayden with their third venue in Wavre, Belgium. Our team designed, manufactured and installed four innovative play zones for this inclusive and inspiring indoor play centre. Founded by Lou Garagnani and named after her son, Le Monde d’Ayden (“Ayden’s World”) was created to offer a place where inclusion isn’t an idea but a lived, everyday experience.
Baby and Toddler Soft Play
The Wavre site features four bespoke play zones, beginning with a dedicated baby and toddler area. This space includes soft play elements for crawling, climbing and sliding. Using the brand’s signature rainbow palette in a gentle gradient, we created a warm, immersive environment that moves away from harsh colour contrasts and supports calm, exploratory play.
Space-Themed Soft Play Area
A show-stopping rocket sits at the heart of this zone, complete with integrated lighting and a stainless-steel slide. Behind it, a dual-level play structure offers soft play obstacles, mirrors and a v-net rope bridge. A fully accessible ball mover connects to a sorter wall, ensuring collaborative and engaging play for children of all abilities.
Sensory Integration Room
Designed to support proprioceptive and vestibular development, this sensory integration room includes a climbing wall, trampettes, ladders, ropes and soft play stepping stones—providing a rich environment for movement, balance and coordination.
Sensory Room
Continuing the space theme, this immersive sensory room features another bespoke rocket structure housing an infinity mirror and fibre optics. The entire room is fully padded for safety and comfort, and enhanced with sound-to-light panels, LED light tubes and starry-sky ceiling panels to create a magical, calming experience.
Lou had a clear vision for the Wavre centre, and worked closely with our Senior Designer, Tim, to bring it to life.
“Lou had a wonderful vision for the space and communicated this superbly with a simple yet relevant mood board and strong branding. There was a clear direction in terms of colour, theming and prompt and cohesive feedback enabling us to move the design forward and get a lot of elements right first time which is always a bonus!” Said Tim Hamlin, our Senior Concept Designer. “It is always a great feeling when a large project like this goes through all the design stages relatively effortlessly and is executed so well by the development and production team. As a designer, my goal is to produce the clients vision and create concepts that are recreated in reality exactly as illustrated, fulfilling the brief to the letter, which I think this project encapsulated perfectly.”
We’re proud to have helped create a setting where every child can play, explore and belong.
“We chose Tigerplay because they understood our vision from the start — not only in terms of play design, but also in terms of inclusion and emotional experience. We wanted a partner capable of combining creativity, safety and sensory balance. Tigerplay’s team listened carefully to our specific needs, especially regarding accessibility, texture, and sensory regulation for children with autism or sensory sensitivities.
The process was smooth, collaborative, and inspiring. Tigerplay took the time to understand the essence of “Le Monde d’Ayden” and translated it into structures that are both fun and meaningful. From the first sketches to the final installation, communication was clear, deadlines were respected, and the attention to detail was exceptional.”
