Bespoke Indoor Play Space for Hoburne Holiday Park
Tigerplay partnered with Hoburne Holiday Parks and NBDA Architects to deliver a bespoke holiday park indoor playground at Hoburne Cotswolds. Designed for children aged 0–8, this premium family leisure play space combines imaginative play with engineering excellence, creating an engaging environment that reflects the natural beauty of its lakeside setting.
Inspired by an ‘outside-in’ design concept, the play area features expansive glazing that connects the indoor environment with the surrounding landscape, giving families uninterrupted views across the lake while children play.
Holiday Park Play Area Design Built Around the Client’s Vision
Every successful holiday park play area design begins with a clear understanding of the operator’s objectives. From the outset, Tigerplay’s design team worked closely with Hoburne Holiday Parks to develop a solution that balanced guest experience, operational requirements and architectural intent.
Our collaborative design process ensured the initial concept closely aligned with the client’s vision, requiring only two minor amendments before approval. This streamlined approach reflects Tigerplay’s engineering-led methodology, delivering certainty throughout the design and build process.
Creating a Premium Holiday Park Indoor Playground
The completed holiday park indoor playground has been carefully designed to encourage active, imaginative and inclusive play while complementing the surrounding architecture.
At the centre of the space, two striking climbing towers are connected by rope bridges, encouraging children to climb, explore and develop confidence through play. A spiral tube slide provides an exciting descent, while an interactive climbing wall introduces physical challenge and skill-based activity.
For younger visitors, a dedicated soft play area creates a safe, sensory-rich environment where babies and toddlers can explore at their own pace alongside parents and carers. Interactive sensory lighting is integrated throughout the play space, providing engaging visual experiences that appeal to children across multiple age groups.
A Family Leisure Play Space with Lasting Visual Impact
As a defining feature of the installation, the central play towers are illuminated with integrated LED lighting, creating a striking focal point within the venue. The lighting enhances the atmosphere throughout the day and transforms the structure into a memorable centrepiece during evening operation, delivering an immediate sense of excitement for arriving families.
Every element of the design has been considered to maximise play value, durability and visual appeal while supporting the long-term operational needs of the holiday park.
