From The Cotswolds to The Outer Hebrides, Tigerplay is going places

It's been a fantastic start to the year at Tigerplay, with installations completed at Adam Henson's Cotswolds Farm Park and the grand opening of The Isle of Harris' first soft play area.

Cotswolds Farm Installation

The new area at Cotswold's offers an indoor play option for 0-4's. A quality timber structure meets with soft furnishings, a super soft artificial grass floor and plenty of play items - perfect for keeping little ones amused while the grown-ups take a break!

Great fun for 0-4's

Next up it was The Isle of Harris, which is the largest island in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. Key local figures were in attendance for the unveiling of the new play area, as well as Tiger Play's Managing Director, Gary Morrison.

Local families were wowed by the bright new play space, and the local television network came along to report on the new community facility. This is a special project for an area with a strong sense of community; it's been crowd-funded by local families with support from the Harris Trust.

A marquee year at tigerplay!

As we enter a fresh new year at tigerplay HQ we would like to share some of our best moments, installations and play schemes of 2015 as well as deliver a head's up on lots of exciting upcoming projects.

Exploring new markets both at home and abroad, the team has collectively made great strides in developing new products and cementing our presence as an innovative leader in the children's play industry.

An undoubted highlight was the two M&R projects both in London and Hong Kong where indoor children's play was redefined with the use of timber framing and a range of differently textured materials.

M&R Hong Kong

The areas were designed to bring a new, fresh challenge to 0-5's, developing cognitive skills and spacial awareness.

With more projects planned next year, watch this space for further beautifully unique and magical spaces to play as we team up with M&R once again.

Following the success of tigerplay's growing relationship with M&R, 2015 also saw another partnership flourish as Intu shopping centres commissioned tigerplay to look at its play offer at sites nationwide.

TP's little brother tigerplay@home also enjoyed a fantastic year with luxury play spaces installed in homes up and down the country.

The State of Play

Exciting times at TP HQ this week as projects from far and wide near agreement.

From the Isle of Harris of the Scottish Islands to Hong Kong in the far east Tigerplay is on its travels again and it's never been so easy to order your play area from almost anywhere and for Tigerplay to deliver the same level of service and customer care as a customer from down the road.

Proposed new area for the Isle of Harris

It's developments in logistics and travel times which have allowed us to now offer the complete installation package all over the world with agents now operating in emerging markets such as India, China and the UAE. Building relationships with local trades and services is key and this has enabled us to learn and adapt to language, cultural differences and the expectations of clients.

Shipping play equipment overseas has never been easier!

The message from Tigerplay HQ today is of broader horizons and that anything is possible in the world of soft play. Therefore, if you are thinking of setting up abroad then we can help you get there and we will be with you every step of the way. And if you like what you see and are already based outside the UK then we are ready to come to you and offer quality British made play solutions which will stand out above the rest in design, quality and attention to detail!

Winter's Coming!

During the long hot days of summer in the UK (when we get them) soft play centres can have quieter periods as families are outside enjoying the sunshine or on their holidays overseas. This time however presents the perfect opportunity to spruce up your centre with some additional structure, some long overdue maintenance work or just a real deep clean! That's where we come in!

Interactive ball movers, volcanoes and cannons are great products to attract more custom!

Let's start with the fun stuff! Adding a new slide, a new babies area or even a ball volcano area (as shown above) re-invigorates your centre and shows returning customers that you are always investing in more ways to keep their children entertained. New additions to your play offer are also great marketing tools for your social media presence, blog and print advertising.

Tots areas are a big pull for mum's with younger children

So you've added some play items and and installed a brand new babies area, now it's time for some net re-tensioning, some mats to be re-covered and most importantly a deep clean of your whole area ready for a busy autumn.

Tigerplay Timber is here!

Providing a fresh take on the conventional indoor play offering, Tigerplay Timber combines wooden play structures with premium soft play to create a new, organic approach to the standard soft play centre model.

Not only do our new installations look great but visiting Mums, Dads and children love the extra challenge presented by these harder materials. Discussing a recent installation with the client's magazine, Project Manager, Dan Morrison highlights how, "careful consideration is given to these new timber playgrounds in relation to children’s development as we aim to create distinctive areas in which muscles are tested and minds are occupied."

Challenging areas which help develop motor skills and problem solving.

Further outlining the benefits of this new style of play Dan states how, "As a parent, your child’s safety is paramount to you, but wrapping them up in cotton wool, although tempting, can be detrimental to growth and development. In order to improve spatial awareness and teach children how to play safely, our timber play structures are not all padded. The mix of soft and slightly harder surfaces allow children to become independent in their navigation and build problem solving skills whilst having a great time doing so!"

To wrap up, a great deal of consideration has been given to the aesthetics of these new areas which we hope you agree inject a boost to the fun factor and appeal to little vistors’ mischievous nature. Children can socialise with others and learn to share their play experience, whilst adults enjoy some much needed time to themselves.

If you are thinking of opening a timber soft play centre or would just like some further information on this new concept please feel free to call us on 01249 740750 or mail us at sales@tigerplay.co.uk. Look forward to hearing from you.
